The Free Time Fair
Hosted by The Upper Valley Young Professionals
Promoted beautifully by Susan B. Apel’s Artful post “How to Stop Bowling Alone: The Free Time Fair“
UVYP says, “Find your new hobby, club, volunteer opportunity, or cool thing at the Free Time Fair!”
This Saturday, June 22nd 11 am – 2 pm
Tracy Hall in Norwich, VT
CommunityCare of Lyme will be there, and we hope you will too! The Fair offers loads of ways to make meaningful connections to socialize, have fun, learn, and maybe find a volunteer opportunity or two throughout the Upper Valley. UVYP has worked for two years to pull this special event together. Susan B. Apel’s June 13, 2024 Artful post shares more about the conception and the value of this event, tying it to her February 24, 2024 post “Join, or Die: Why You Absolutely Should Not Be Bowling Alone“. Participating in community life is critical to fighting isolation, by increasing socialization and building personal connections – important to wellbeing at all ages.
There will be 35 organizations at the Fair, with a little something for everyone. You can download the Fair program to see what’s in store … or you can join us on Saturday to explore and learn LIVE! 😊
In her Artful blog, Susan writes about all kinds of arts in the Upper Valley and beyond. Her posts are informative and inspiring, and they help get more of us out into the community to experience art. We encourage you to subscribe. If there’s ever an event you’d like to attend (this one’s free), we’d like to help you get there. If you need a ride or money is a challenge, please reach out to us (help@cclyme.org or 603-795-0603).
Every Wednesday, CommunityCare of Lyme lifts up a wellness topic, embracing the widest possible definition of individual and community well-being. We include local and national resources, individual and group programs and practices, and personal stories, videos, or songs that have something to teach us all. We are always seeking guest contributors!
If you have a wellness-themed topic you would like to share or learn more about, please reach out to shelby@cclyme.org
