As I step into the role of Executive Director, I am inspired by the incredible efforts of our volunteers, partners, and supporters who make this work possible. Your dedication and compassion are the lifeblood of our organization. As we move forward, I am excited to deepen our connections, foster new collaborations, and continue building a resilient, vibrant community where everyone in Lyme (and beyond!) can thrive.
Fauve Dela Cruz, Executive Director
CommunityCare of Lyme
CCL’s overarching goal is to foster a strong, resilient community through social connection and an emphasis on wellness throughout life. That is important to me! I believe that programs are a way to invite people in, to have initial contact, and establish meaningful relationships. When the team needs a volunteer or expert or help with a program, it is then possible to involve these community resources to enhance programs, to complete a volunteer project, to build a stronger, healthier community.
Shelby Wood, Manager of Volunteer Participation
CommunityCare of Lyme
Serving with the CommunityCare of Lyme team is a true privilege! I grew up in Lyme, and my ancestors were credited with getting the whole business going … and keeping it going. I feel this service is certainly in keeping with my family’s commitment to make Lyme a warm, loving community which provides uplifting support to anyone, for any reason. I especially look forward to continuing an outreach that extends beyond that of my town office role. When we work together, we can address the challenges of aging in place, raising healthy and involved kids, maintaining a safe home environment, and other issues that affect our individual and collective lives. I hope people will feel comfortable calling on me whenever they want to.
