Stargazing Party at Mountain View Farm
CHANGED TO FRIDAY, August 13th
8-11pm (“doors” open at 7:30)
Mountain View Farm Conservation Area
Mousley Brook Road, Quinttown, Orford, NH
Mountain View Farm in the Quinttown region of Orford is the perfect place to take a tour of the night sky. It’s remote location, 360 degree view, and lack of electric light pollution mean you can see the whole sky on a clear night.
Doors open at 7:30 pm for those who want to come early and find their perfect viewing spot. The tour of the night sky begins at 8pm. In the past, participants have brought a picnic dinner to enjoy the time spent waiting for the sun to set.
Please bring your own blankets and chairs, and a flashlight or headlamp. Flashlights will be necessary to find your way when leaving the event! We do ask that you keep all light sources off during the presentation. Please note that there is no electricity, potable water, or restroom on site.
This event is free and open to the public but donations may be made at the “door” (aka check in station) and can always be made on-line here: https://donatenow. networkforgood.org/givetoUVLT.
