Tuesday, August 27, 5-6 p.m. Splashdown Party! Return your reading record (or a reasonable facsimile–and any worksheets you’ve been working on at home) to the library for prizes and a T-shirt. Tell us (Commander Miss Judy, Payload Commander Mrs. Caffry, and Mission Specialist Mr. Passeri**) your favorite book of the summer! Play games and make stuff! Prize drawings at 5:20 (you needn’t be present to win, but we’d love it if you were!). Anyone who has completed a reading record (or a reasonable facsimile!) gets a T-shirt or a book bag. Please note that this year, we are hosting our end-of-summer party here at the library as a drop-in between 5 and 6 p.m. The school’s ice-cream social begins at 5:30, so we hope you’ll be able to stop by here first, then make your way (carefully, using the crosswalk) across the street to the school playground. We won’t be serving food here, because we can’t think of anything better than an ice cream cone on the playground with friends!?
