All elections are important and we strive to provide accurate and dependable help in your effort to cast your ballot.
Polls
All in person votes are cast at the Lyme School Community Gymnasium on Union Street. Polls are open from 7am to 7pm.
All recommended Covid-19 safety measures will be in place. Masks will be required to enter the gym; however if you are unwilling or unable to wear a mask, procedures will be in place to assure your ability to vote. We certainly appreciate your willingness to comply with these procedures. Please note that masks can be provided to anyone who does not have one.
Absentee Ballots
There’s been a terrific response to this Primary election request for absentee ballots. Currently the number of requests is close to 400, which is pretty impressive. Of those 400, about 135 have been returned, so for those who requested the ballot, please don’t forget to return them. Ballots come to you with postage in place. They may be mailed. They may also be dropped off at the Clerk’s office, but please do this on days we are here and can accept your ballot in hand. Don’t leave it on the table in the outer lobby. We want to be sure it gets handled by authorized personnel which includes the town office staff and post office clerks.
Be assured that the Lyme Election Team is working hard to be sure all registered voters are treated equitably and have access to the voting process.
Stay tuned for continued updates as we progress toward election day.
