View neighbors’ personal creche scenes and learn their stories

Do you have a nativity set with a story that you’d like to share?  Perhaps it’s been in your family for generations, received as a special gift, handcrafted by a friend, brought home from an exotic locale or just a favorite part of you holiday tradition.  Many others would love to hear you story!  If you’d be willing to display your creche in the annual Night of the Nativities at the Lyme Congregational Church on December 7, we ask that you bring it to the church Saturday between noon and 4pm, with a description on a card to be displayed alongside.  It will be watchfully attended until the end of viewing, at 7pm.  We hope you can retrieve it by 7:30, if you can’t, you’ll find it in one of the rear pews the next afternoon.
Many people have found a walk among various artists’ renditions of the birth of Christ to be a moving, rewarding part of their Christmas season.  Peaceful holiday music and the warmly decorated sanctuary lend to a  gently spiritual experience no always to be found in this busy season.  Not coincidentally, the Night of the Nativities is held on the same evening as the Utility Club’s light the trees on the Lyme Common and holiday market in the LCC’s Fellowship Hall.  We would very much like to add your nativity to the display, and you to the audience.
