Nominate a Fellow Citizen for this Special Honor!
One of the Lyme Foundation’s proudest traditions is presenting the Lyme Citizen of the Year award every year at town meeting in March. This award honors those who have had a positive impact on the town in a variety of ways, working within the community to make Lyme thrive. The first award was in l999 to Dorcas Chaffee; the 2019 award went to Pat and Tony Pippin. A complete list of recipients is available on the Lyme Foundation website.
The award would not be possible without the active engagement of those making the nominations. It’s a very simple nominating process, with complete details at our website www.lymefoundation.org. Please include:
- the reason you feel your nominee deserves the award
- a few details about the nature of their involvement in town life, and
- suggestions about who else might know about their service.
Please keep in mind that a nomination form needs to be filled out; otherwise the committee might miss crucial information about your nominee’s service in town. These are available online, at venues around town, or upon request from Lisa Hayes as the address below; she’ll be glad to help you fill out the form if you need some assistance.
