Going Out Green
exploring sustainable and meaningful funeral options

Learn about emerging eco-friendly funeral practices, including home funerals and green burials. With funeral prices rising along with temperatures, it’s time to take a look at ways to reduce expenses and carbon footprints while still having rich, meaningful send-offs.

In this provocative and surprising interactive presentation, Lee Webster introduces ways we can plan for a more planet-friendly exit through family-directed eco-conscious home care practices and sustainable natural burial options. We will learn the latest in what’s happening in the US and around the world to design authentic ways of honoring our loved ones without breaking the bank.

Webster is the President of New Hampshire Funeral Resource, Education & Advocacy, and international leader in green burial advocacy, former President of the National Home Funeral Alliance, and board member and educational consultant for the Green Burial Council, the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance, and the Conservation Burial Alliance. She is a frequent speaker on funeral reform, and author of several published articles and books on funeral reform topics, including her most recent, Changing Landscapes: Exploring the growth of ethical, compassionate, and environmentally sustainable green funeral service.
