Fridays at 10 (for as long as supplies last), Help@fairleevt distributes fresh, local, often organic produce FREE to anyone in the Upper Valley experiencing food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please come early if you can: Last week we had a lot of lovely produce but ran out before 10:30!
These are the high-value foods most important for sustained good health. They are grown or gleaned from local farms and grocers by Willing Hands (www.willinghands.org) and its teams of volunteers. The amount and kinds of food available varies each week but generally includes milk, eggs, bread, and assorted vegetables and fruits. Starting this week we will also have on hand simple and tasty recipes for preparing various vegetables.
Masks are required when ordering and accepting foods. Please wear them as a courtesy to our volunteers. Don’t have one? We can give you one, and a complementary bottle of hand-sanitizer.
Customers are asked to remain in their vehicles as the line circles around Town Common Rd. from north to south and order from a list of items posted near the food table. Volunteers will bag and carry your order to the car. Please bring your own bags/boxes/egg cartons and coolers if you can. A limited number of bags will be available for those who have none.
Please pass this information on to your neighbors and feel free to shop for those unable to come themselves. For a list of and information on other free food resources visit http://www.willinghands.
