Love is Blind (!) Contradance – Sat. Feb 8th with Blind Squirrel – Tracy Hall, Norwich
…because even a blind squirrel gets an acorn, every once in awhile…
It’s a Second Saturday Contradance at Tracy Hall (200 Main Street) – enter through the back doors by the White Church
All Welcome! No experience necessary.
Please dress in layers for changing activity levels and bring:
a clean change of shoes for the dance floor
a water bottle, and – if you can – a potluck snack for the break
a smile, and a friend~!
LIVE MUSIC provided by our local band of three fiddles, cello, foot percussion, and guitar
(that’s Bill & Steve (Norwich), Erin (Leb), Suzanne & Christina (Royalton) and Chip (So, Strafford)
All dances FIRST TAUGHT, then CALLED by the talented Mary Wesley – she’s called here before, and we’re delighted to have her back!
Saturday, Feb. 8th:
7:15 – walk-through for new dancers
7:30 – 10:30 – Contradance – a variety of dance forms including a mixer, contras, maybe a square dance or two, and always at least two waltzes
Folks typically switch partners after each dance, so there’s a variety of dancing experiences awaiting you.
The first dances are easiest, so come early if you’re new to this.
