We are planning to open Chase Beach at Post Pond this coming Saturday, 6/22. We plan to start the installation of the docks, ropes and raft starting at around 9:00 am. The beach will be closed for recreational activities until the work is completed. It usually takes several hours to get this work done so your patience and understanding are appreciated. Lifeguards are scheduled to be on duty when the work is complete.
Anyone who would like to help with the work is welcome. Help is always needed installing the docks. Posts need to be hammered into the mud in order to keep the docks stable. This is hard work and help with this is appreciated. Raking the beach and around the swings is helpful. I like to keep the work in the deeper water for the lifeguards. Safety in the water is always a priority and to many people out there can be a problem. If anyone has  ideas for cleanup activities, please let m know. Ideas are always helpful. Think of how they will be done.
