We broke all records last year, raising around $12,000 for the children’s collection (woo-hoo!), used by both the public and the students of Lyme School. It was thrilling to know there was that much support out there for Lyme’s youth library services. The Library was able to replace aging books, fill in series that had been lacking, and refresh a bit of our nonfiction collection, along with purchasing the usual popular and educational materials we always do. Another year like last year and we will be in great shape! If you cannot make a financial contribution (or even if you can), please join in as a spectator on October 6, cheering the children as they make their way around the Common for as many laps as they can muster (and they muster a lot!). They take great pride in their achievements that day, and knowing the community is with them makes it all the sweeter!
