A Weekend Celebrating the Birds in our Backyard

It’s been exciting to see the level of interest and participation during this month celebrating birds! Last weekend, people were watching and counting birds in backyards and fields in Lyme and all across the Upper Valley. Birds will be happy to have found dozens of fresh pinecone bird feeders out there, thanks those who created them from kits we had fun distributing. Eager counters picked up the NH Winter Bird Surveys packets offered Best, the NH Audubon. We’ve loved the photos and email updates! Thank you!!. Learning about the birds you’ve seen – grouses, cardinals, woodpeckers, and many more – has been amazing. It’s been a wonderful, wintry birding journey with you all! We’ll update this post with more photos and stories that you share.

And there’s more to come! CommunityCare of Lyme, the Lyme School and Matt Brown Fine Art Gallery are collaborating to put together a virtual exhibition of bird-themed art of all kinds The Beauty of Birds. Stay tuned for more information about how to send us your creations!
