Thank you to all who made the evening so special!

You have fostered our growth
You bring joy
You are our future!

Our Founders and Launch Supporters

Over 145 of us gathered for the 10-year celebration, including many of those who were involved in the research, forming, and engagement efforts in 2014.

A visionary, resourceful, and committed group of community members …

Patty Jenks, at the Heart of an Extraordinary Team

Patty joined CommunityCare of Lyme as Director in 2017, our third year. With her collaborative leadership, we established an office that is a cozy living room, initiated new programs that offered more ways to bring people together, and built trust that opened “fiercely independent” neighbors to accepting needed assistance. Lives were changed for the better. In the years that followed, the organization remained strong and responsive, expanding services and personal outreach while navigating through a series of personal, community, and national challenges with love and care. We established the Jenks Fund, Lyme Food Pantry, and the Welcome Fund to address unmet needs for direct support.

It was a gift to be celebrating 10 years with dedicated, involved community members!

Every individual in this photo has been an important contributor to the development of CCL. Seated with Patty are Pam Poire, left, and Lyme Town Clerk, Emily Shepard. Standing are Julie Coleman, Joan Barthold, Scott Barthold, Sue Hanlon, Kathy Sherrieb, Mark Tecca, Elie O’Brien, Christie Manning, and Dani Capsis Ligett. John Griesemer’s in front.

Fauve Dela Cruz, Welcome to the Team!

Fauve brings experience, an infectious passion for community-building, and a supportive family to her new role as CommunityCare of Lyme’s Executive Director. During the celebration, she shared her commitment to Lyme and to continuing CCL’s efforts to contribute to the wellbeing of people across the Upper Valley, and beyond.

Fauve is eager to connect with you!

A Decade of Generous Support and Dedicated Service

Martha Tecca, co-founder in her last days as Executive Director, shared a bit of CommunityCare of Lyme’s history and lots of heart filled gratitude for the many extraordinary individuals and community partners who are responsible for building so much more than an “organization.”

Highlights of 10 Very Full Years

CommunityCare of Lyme has built an infrastructure to serve the community in many ways. We are here, every day, as a source of information, connections to resources, ideas, warm conversation, and direct support when you need it.

We believe that when we know each other, we matter to each other … and we will work side-by-side and care for each other. CommunityCare of Lyme hosts and supports a wide range of gatherings to bring the community and individuals together. Everyone is welcome. Everyone belongs.

CommunityCare of Lyme is fully funded by generous donors. More than $1.2 million has been contributed since our founding in 2014. 75% of that is from more than $600 families and individuals. CCL has three funds: the general fund, supporting programs and operations; the Jenks Fund, providing small gifts to address urgent needs and lift spirits of individuals; and the Welcome Fund, supporting refugees and others displaced by challenging circumstances.

CommunityCare of Lyme expenses fall into three primary categories: Direct Service, Community Engagement, and the capacity to be a Central Source of Information. We also invest a small amount in team education and basic administration.

We are excited to work through this leadership transition together!

We are both looking forward to the next phase of our lives, building community in new ways. We hope you’ll join in.
