Aging in Our Community Logo

“Aging in Our Community” is a collaborative effort, involving those who wish to remain in their homes for as long as practical in planning for the lives they choose. We are exploring ways to build on the strengths and services of our community to support individuals and families in remaining comfortable, safe, and spiritually strong, while facing challenges that come along with aging. We also connect with organizations, services, and educational opportunities in neighboring towns and across the region to ensure a full spectrum of opportunities for community members.

All are welcome to be part of the conversation, to volunteer time or talents, or just to hear what’s happening.

A broad set of opportunities:

  • Conversations over lunch or by Zoom, offering a safe space for conversation about changing lives and changing priorities. There’s a topic of focus with an expert in the field for each meeting.
  • Life Planning resources, education, and conversation, including financial and estate planning, healthcare, and end-of-life planning, in collaboration with the Dartmouth Aging Resource Center, Caldwell Law, Lyme Parish Nurses, and other local organizations.

Weekly Monday lunches, “Grab-N-Stay” meals on Thursdays, a free ride service for targeted transportation within the county, and more. Go to the OSC Website for menus, activities, and more.
