Showing yourself love this Valentine’s Day
Ideas shared by CCL staff and Board Members
As we look forward to celebrating love, it’s important to stop and consider the ways in which we show love to ourselves. There are so many ways to care for ourselves. The staff and Board members of CCL have brainstormed just a few ideas for you to consider as you plan how to show yourself some love.
- Spend time celebrating with those you love! Gather with women from across the region at the CommunityCare of Lyme Zoom celebration of Galentine’s Day. We’ll celebrate female friendships and empowerment together. Sunday, February 13th at 6pm. Let us know if you’ll join us, we’d love to celebrate you then!
- Dedicate some time to yourself. Allow yourself time to exercise, to meditate, to stretch. Do something that lifts your spirits!
- Indulge! Eat that piece of cake, or get that Macchiato.
- Give yourself a spa day! Take a bubble bath, use a mud mask, paint your nails.
- Do a Netflix marathon of your favorite comedy series. Afterall, “laughter is the best medicine”.
- Buy yourself flowers and chocolate.
- Sign yourself up for something you’ve been wanting to try. Sign up for the art class at the AVA Gallery. Register for a 5k. Enroll in an online class.
- Go for a walk or ski in the woods.
- Therapy.
- Spending time pets and loved ones.
- Disconnect for an hour or so a day and unplug. Allow for some down time.
- Cook for friends and family.
