The West Fairlee Community Club and the West Fairlee Center Congregational Church on Middlebrook Road once again present their Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social, followed by a Blessing of the Animals on the church green adjacent. Rain or shine!
Come to the Community Clubhouse at 3:30 pm and enjoy vanilla ice cream with all the toppings -chocolate sauce, blueberry, maple syrup, whipped cream, granola +/or nuts, and more. A non-dairy option will be available if dairy sensitive.
Step across to the church green if you like for the Blessing of the Animals at 4:00 pm. Over the years we have had horses, dogs, cats, llamas, a parrot, ferrets, chickens, ducks, a red-tailed hawk (on a wild visit) and more! If you prefer, you may bring a “stuffy“, or a picture of a loved pet or special animal you know, to be blessed by our wonderful guest minister, Rev. Brigid Farrell. Water and shade will be available for your animals.
DIRECTIONS: Take Route 244 around Lake Fairlee and turn north up *Middlebrook Road Go 4 miles to the Clubhouse, Church and green.
WHEN AGAIN? 3:30pm, Sunday, July 14 for Ice Cream Sundaes; 4:00 for the Blessing of the Animals- Rain or shine- hope to see you there!
WHO: For folks of all ages- free of charge. (donations are always gratefully received, but none required!)
