The 2019 Crop Walk in Lyme will take place on Sunday, October 6th, starting at 11:45am at the Congregational Church on The Common. Friends and neighbors walk together to raise money to fight hunger in the world and in the Upper Valley. Twenty-five percent of the money that is raised is returned to the Upper Valley to support programs that feed the needy. Pledge envelopes may be obtained from Bill Murphy (2287), or just come on the 6th, walk, and donate.
We walk south on Route #10 to Preston Road, climb the hill to the Murphys, stop for refreshments under the “friendship tree”, and then follow the road to Washburn Hill, Market Street and The Common. The many, many walkers and joggers in town are invited to put the Crop Walk into their schedules and get their exercise and conversation while supporting a worthy cause.
NOTE: There are Crop Walks across the Upper Valley and around the World. If you can’t join us in Lyme, consider one of the other opportunities to support this important cause. Two nearby, later in the afternoon on the 6th are in Lebanon and in Post Mills, VT.
