CommunityCare of Lyme Office Hours-
Tuesdays are busy at the CCL Living Room! Patty, Teri, and often others are here to greet you … to answer questions, provide information, hear your ideas about how we can help someone you know, help you solve a challenge, sit down for a cup of coffee or tea, or just chat. Parish Nurse office hours are 9-11am. Reiki is being offered weekly by Stephanie Carney, often in the company of other practitioners Lindy Mather and Bonnie Irwin. It’s a particularly lovely experience receiving Reiki from two or more practitioners at a time and a few minutes goes a long way toward feeling a wonderful sense of calm and well being. You might find other surprises, as well! We hope to see you.
More about CCL and why you might stop by:
Everyone needs help from time to time. But it can be hard to ask for it.
One confidential call or meeting with CommunityCare of Lyme opens access to local volunteers and partner organizations who can help you or a loved one. Let us know what you need and when you need it. We’ll refer you to great, local resources who can give you a hand with:
- Home repair and safety improvements
- Household help
- Gardening and yard care
- Personal care
- Pet care
- Legal and financial management
CCL Office Hours are also a great time to meet to discuss how you can help in the community!
Do you want to meet more Lyme neighbors, help someone out, or work with friends on a community project? Do you want to have fun?
We’ll help you find a volunteer opportunity that matches your interests, skills, and schedule.
Let us know how you’d like to help out – driving Lyme residents to appointments or shopping, helping an elderly neighbor with yard work, providing pet care, pitching on a home or town maintenance project, or offering other types of personal or community assistance. We’ll point you to a community member in need or a partner organization that can provide a fulfilling volunteer experience. And we’ll make sure that the time commitment works for you. Complete this form to share how you can help.
Our leadership team is a group of volunteers from the Lyme community. It includes a board of directors plus ongoing committees (such as Aging in Place), action teams (such as Day of Service and Independence Day), and individual contributors (such as financial experts, data analysts, and web designers).
